El evento ha sido todo un éxito con la participación de numerosos carritos de madera, así como dirtsurfers, streetlugers, longskaters y freeborders. El evento se dividió en dos partes. Una primera bajada relativamente corta, pero muy divertida, especialmente por los badenes de los pasos de peatones que atravesaba el municipio de Güimar terminando en la plaza de la iglesia del mismo. La segunda bajada, de aproximadamente unos dos kilómetros por carretera (desde Güimar a la autopista) fue espectacular, no solo por poder disfrutar de bajar una carretera gozando de los dos carriles sin miedo a que te coma un coche, sino también por la sensación de ir bajando mientras la gente te mira con cara de asombro y te anima. Será dificil olvidar esa pedazo de recta con esas dos curvas seguidas al final que entré tumbado a muerte pero que no pude terminar de trazar acabando con una cariñosa fractura de peroné. C'est la vie!

Con motivo de las fiestas de Güimar tendrá lugar una competición de carritos de madera en la que podremos participar también freebordes, longskaters y streetlugers a modo de exhibición. Por ello invitamos a todos los amantes de este deporte a acudir el sábado 30 de Agosto a las 5 de la tarde a la plaza del Ayuntamiento de Güimar, que será el punto de encuentro.
